Risqué Romper!

There is always that one outfit that you buy on impulse because it’s the trendy, it’s on sale and what do you know - it looks great on! That’s how I felt about this Romper! I was shopping for a totally different event but the floral pattern caught my eye, so I stuck it in my stack of try-ons and I was so surprised at how much I liked it that I couldn’t resist the great purchase! Since it is Fall/Winter I decided to pair it with over the knee boots, a choker and other light accessories. I had this look in mind for a night out with my hubby: maybe a sexy dinner or to go listen to live music.

I am usually not a shorts person, but there is always an exception to the rule. It’s not that you can’t wear a trend, it’s more about how to make the trend work for you. I have some healthy thighs, which I love, but shorts don’t always love me. I get that creeping-up-my-thigh action when I walk, and I hate it with a passion. One way to avoid that is to choose shorts with a wider opening versus a pair that is more fitted. Outside of the shorts being more comfortable, they are a little less risqué with a wider opening.

I could just as easily make this a daytime look by wearing a duster (long) cardigan, tights and boots. In the Spring I’ll squeeze a little more style from my romper with sandals, a tote and a long necklace or even strappy sandals, a bold necklace and a clutch. The key is thinking out of the box and having fun!
